YBhg Datuk Dr. Yatimah binti Sarjiman was appointed as a Member of Corporation (MOC) on 20 October 2023.
YBhg Datuk Dr. Yatimah
has over 30 years of experience in the field of planning, formulating and
implementing public policies on human resource management and organisation,
financial resources management and organisation, financial resources, economy,
administration and development of the region, social administration,
international relations and foreign affairs. She also has expertise in rural
development and management, international industrial structure, plantation
industry and women empowerment. In her 34 years of service, she has held strategic
positions including the Deputy Secretary General at Prime Minister’s Department
and the Director General in the Department of Women Development.
YBhg Datuk Dr. Yatimah
is currently the Deputy Secretary General (Sectoral) at the Ministry of Economy
and extensively involved in the formulation of the 12th Malaysia Plan’s
Mid-Term Review that was tabled at the Parliament recently. She also contributed
to the National Energy Transformation Roadmap (NETR) that was launched in July
2023 as well as the National Energy Policy that was launched in 2022 with
aspirations to become a low-carbon nation in 2040. In 2015, she was appointed
as Deputy Secretary General in the Prime Minister’s Department and was later
promoted as Director General, Department of Women Development in 2016. In 2018,
she became the Director of Agriculture Division, Economic Planning Unit (EPU)
of the Prime Minister’s Department. Prior to this appointment, YBhg Datuk Dr.
Yatimah was the Director of Agriculture Division and Deputy Director of
Infrastructure and Utilities Division.
YBhg Datuk Dr. Yatimah
holds a Bachelor of Business Accounting Information System from Idaho
State University, U.S.A. and Master in Business Administration in Accounting
and Finance from Northrop University, U.S.A. She then pursued
her studies
at University Utara Malaysia and has been awarded with Doctor of Philosophy
Degree (PhD).
